The Wolf Howl
Week of 5/13/16
STAAR Testing is OVER!
Google Pioneer Expeditions
Thanks to Renee Stancliffe -- she got a Google Expeditions team to come to CTMS! Google Expeditions teams visit selected schools around the world, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, Singapore, Denmark, Mexico, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Each team brings a complete Expeditions kit with everything the teachers need to take their students on journeys anywhere. The team will show teachers how Expeditions works and help set it up before class.
With Google Expeditions, students feel like they are really right there in the time and place mentioned above.
Curious? Stop by the Silver gym tomorrow and check it out!
Locker Clean Out
For 8th grade and 6th grade band students: Locker Clean out during Wolf Time on Tuesday, May 24
For non-band 6th and all 7th grade students: Locker Clean out during Wolf Time on Wednesday, May 25
Bridget will place recycling bins and trash cans in the hallways. Sarah will place collection boxes for donated items. Please be on hand to monitor the students in the hallway!
Room Assignments for Next Year
Here are the room assignments:
Wagner moves to Witte's room B7
Smith moves to Brolan's room A9
Witte moves to Young's room A6
Weeks moves to Smith's room B10
Rachel Smith (new ASPIRE math) to B12
Cheryl Talliaferro (new ASPIRE humanities) to Week's room B13
6th grade Special Ed moves to Wagner's room B1
Not too bad! Teams, please support your teammates who are moving by helping them box and move. Let's try to get moving done by Wolf Fest.
Summer Notes:
Some important summer details:
- Every room except for Nate's will be used for summer programs.
- You will not need to take everything off your walls for summer maintenance, but it will be left up at your own risk.
- Please cover bookshelves with paper if you leave books on them. Please try to make it look neat for those who are housed in those rooms.
- Take home personal items or put a bike lock around your cabinet door handles to secure items.
- Any personal items or furniture left in your rooms are at your own risk. You will not be covered for theft, loss, or damage.
The Bond Passed!
All the hard work and campaigning is over -- the 2016 Bond passed! We will reap definite benefits from this bond: bathrooms for A Hall (no, I don't know where!), new classroom furniture, money for library renovation and materials, HVAC upgrades, flooring upgrades, kitchen upgrades, technology and infrastructure, and other things.
Thank you to all who turned out to vote your opinion, either pro-bond or anti-bond. It's the American Way!
