conduction
The heat vibrates down the metal or steel until it reaches the end, which will heat up
example: fry pan heats up using conduction, the heat of a coffee goes through the cup and you can feel it on the outside, lights heat up usinng conduction
convection
convection is 'heat rises and cold air goes down'
example: microwaves suck cold air in and turn it into heat, when theirs a fire you have to crawl along the ground because the heat rises above you
radiation
dark colours create more heat than light colours which create a lot less heat
example: dark pavers get hot and light pavers are cold, when you climb on the roof its really hot
