What does a fraction look like ?
A fraction has a numerator and a denominator. The numerator is the top number. The denominator is the bottom number.To be a fraction there has to be equal parts.
How can you compare fractions ?
You can compare fractions by cross multiplying. If your numerator is the same you can just think about a candy bar.The more the pieces the smaller they are. If the denominators are the same then you just have to look at the numerator.
What is a mixed number ?
A mixed number has a whole number and a fraction. The mixed number can be changed into a improper fraction by getting MAD! The'm' in mad means multiply the whole number by the denominator. The 'a' means add the numerator to the number you got when you multiplied.The ''d'' in mad means you have to keep the denominator you already had.
