Have a Great Break!

Today was a great day of learning for Hillcrest students and Carroll students. Throughout the day, students participated in lessons designed and delivered by Carroll University Education Field students. These field students have spent a semester studying how our school district teaches literacy and it was evident from the lessons that we have some future great teachers working with our communities! Hillcrest students had fun

We hope everyone has a fantastic break. May your time be filled with family, fun and some reading! We will see everyone April 9th.

1st Grade Concert - April 19th

This is a friendly reminder about our annual first grade concert which will be held in the Hillcrest Gym on Thursday, April 19th at 6:30 p.m. All are invited, whether or not you have a student at Hillcrest! The dress rehearsal will be on Wednesday, April 18th at 3:00 p.m. Parents or relatives who are not able to attend the evening concert are welcome to attend the dress rehearsal. It is important that all first grade students attend the evening concert. You will not want to miss it! Please have your students dress up for the concert. Please, if at all possible, avoid jeans, sweatpants, or t-shirts. We do not expect you to purchase a new outfit, but find something in their closet that is a little dressier than usual. Students should report to their homerooms at 6:20 p.m. on the evening of April 19th. If you bring them earlier than 6:20, they can sit with you in the gym until I direct them to go to their classroom.

Celebration Reminders

We love being able to celebrate birthdays with your children here at school. We'd like to remind everyone that we have many individuals with food allergies or sensitivities in the building. Whenever possible, we ask that you send treats that are peanut and tree nut free. Also, the ingredients must be printed on the packaging for us to be able to serve the treats. Teachers do their best to screen for allergies but we encourage you to send alternative treats to school if your child has a reaction to any packaged products. There are many students who also have mild to severe reactions to dairy, soy, and eggs, which are often in treats brought to school. Thank you for your help in keeping students safe!

Backpack Coalition

Applications are now available to receive a free school backpack and school supplies for the 2018-2019 school year. Many but not all items per the school’s supply list will be included. Students in the Waukesha School district must meet the following qualification requirements:
