Helping Us Become Effective Users of Ideas and Information

Welcome to Concord's Media Center

The Concord Media Center is the place for all of our inquirers to connect with each other, with technology, books, and other resources. Please feel free to drop by any time to see what's going on in our school library.

Mrs. Bardin, School Librarian

Eric Litwin Visit

We are thrilled to have children's author, Eric Litwin visit Concord on Friday. He sings, plays the guitar and harmonica, shares musical stories and brings books to life. This is a great experience our children will remember for years to come. If you ordered one of his books, he will sign them on Friday. The books will be delivered to students on Monday.

South Carolina Book Award Voting is soon!

The 2 purposes of the South Carolina book award program are to encourage our students to read good quality contemporary literature and to honor the authors of the books annually chosen the favorites by student vote. Over 30,000 South Carolina students in grades K-12 participate in the program each year. Students read books in their age appropriate category during the first part of the school year. In February, students who have read at least 5 of the books vote for their favorite. Votes are tabulated all over the state and then the South Carolina Association of School Librarians honors the authors of the chosen books. Concord students will use the real Anderson County voting machines to cast their votes on Wednesday, February 4. Ask your child what their favorite was!
