A Message Leading to Summer from the Principals
August 14, 2019 seems like such a long time ago. It was the first day of school, and it was such a great day! Throughout the course of the year, we watched our students and parents take on tasks that some thought would be impossible to accomplish. We were looking forward to finishing out the year so strong! When we said, “See you later!” on March 6th, we could not have envisioned the next steps of our journey.
Guess what?
Yes! You did it! We did it!
Until it's put to the test, you really don’t know the depth of your persistence, strength, flexibility or grit! Through sheer determination, some tears, many successes and a desire to see your student(s) succeed, you dug in your heels with our AMAZING ROUNTREE TEACHERS AND STAFF!
Guess what?
We would not be here today, heading to the last day of the school year, without you! Never again will we speak about being in partnership in the same way. Thank you for all that you have done!
2019-2020. It’s one for the books.
As we step into the summer, we have to recall the many people and groups that helped all of us to get here. Big hugs and thanks to our AWESOME students; parents/guardians/older siblings/extended family; Rountree Teachers and Staff; Allen ISD Student Nutrition team; Rountree PTA; the COMMUNITY of ALLEN; Rountree Administrative Leadership Team and a HUGE thanks to our hard-working and loving Allen ISD Superintendent, Mrs. Robin Bullock, her Cabinet, all Allen ISD staff and our gracious Allen ISD Board of Trustees!
As we continue to work towards what “normal” will look and feel like, please remember that we have been engaged in something great – apart but together. No one walks alone.
As 2019-2020 ends, we continue to carry Nawal in our hearts.
Continue to read each day. Work your brain with puzzles, trivia and board games. Remember that physical activity helps to keep your mind alert. Most of all, BE SAFE everyday.
Hugs and love,
Lara Utecht, Principal
Justin Spies, Alisa Allen & Claudia Harrison – Assistant Principals
