I hope you all enjoy the three-day holiday weekend! Remember that on Monday schools are closed in honor of veterans. For those of you who have served our nation, thank you for what you've done and the difference you've made! Here's the News for this week.

Raleigh Hills K-8 Construction Update
We invite the community to join us for an informational session at Raleigh Hills K-8 in the cafeteria on Wed., November 14, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and provide staff with feedback that will be shared with the School Board. Additionally, you may send your questions and comments to: RHK8_Construction@beaverton.k12.or.us
The School Board will consider the merits of pursuing the construction of a new, state-of-the-art school in a future bond in lieu of the building addition project planned in the 2014 Capital Construction Bond at their Business Meeting on Monday, November 26, 2018.

Library News
Book Fair in the library November 13- 16. All students will get to visit the book fair during school, either at library specials, digital media, or a scheduled class time. Families are welcome to visit the fair 8:10 am - 4:00 pm. Proceeds benefit the library.
Families can shop the online fair Nov 7th - Nov 20th. All books are shipped to the school free. This is a great way to have family purchase holiday gifts. http://www.scholastic.com/bf/raleighhillsk8sch1
Read aloud for 15 minutes a day, every day. Yes it really makes a difference. Check out this fact sheet.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found has grown. If you are missing clothing please check the lost and found. We will be donating the clothes on November 16. Please remember to put names in the jackets and we will make sure the clothes find the way back to the student.
Community Coffee
There will also be parent information sessions that will be held in Spanish from 10:15 to 11:30 in Portable 4 following the Spanish session of the Community Coffee. The first two sessions will be translated. The presenters are Denise Shier in December and Juliet Hong in January. Anyone is welcome to attend.
