TK-2 Staff Meeting - Wednesday, Dec. 16 - 1:15 - Room 12

We will have a quick meeting to go over a couple things regarding the Winter Show and some procedural changes for next semester.

Progress Reports/Report Cards - Grades Due Wednesday, Dec. 16

This Friday we will be attempting to send home K-5 Progress Reports and 6-8 Semester 1 Report Cards. Please let us know if you have questions in regards to publishing/comments/etc.

Please have grades in by Wednesday evening so we can begin the printing process on Thursday and hopefully troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Letters of Intent - Due Friday, Dec. 18

Thank you for continuing to collect Letters of Intent each day. Please continue to remind your students! If they do not turn them in, they will not be guaranteed a spot for next year.

Winter Performance - TK-5 - Dec. 18 - 11:00 - 3-8 Campus

It's almost here! Reminder to TK-2 teachers: we recommend asking your students NOT to bring backpacks with them on Friday. Since they will be picked up at 3-8, the less they have to carry over to the other campus, the better. Please keep an eye out for an email detailing what time your class will head to campus (we are staggering departure times) and dismissal procedures.

Trait of the Month - Curiosity

  1. It makes your mind active instead of passive
Curious people always ask questions and search for answers in their minds. Their minds are always active.
  2. It makes your mind observant of new ideas
When you are curious about something, your mind expects and anticipates new ideas related to it.
  3. It opens up new worlds and possibilities
By being curious you will be able to see new worlds and possibilities which are normally not visible.
  4. It brings excitement into your life
There are always new things that attract their attention. Instead of being bored, curious people have an adventurous life.

Student of the Month Submission

Word of the Week

(n) the quality of being kind and generous

Instructional Focus - Collaboration

We are excited to begin our weekly/biweekly teacher check-ins after Winter Break. Now that we have had I-Ready training, and all PLP's have been set, these check-ins will involve a focused data analysis discussion as well as follow-ups on your professional goals. These 30 minute meetings will likely be scheduled during a pull-out/prep time.

Supervision Reminder

We are still looking for extra help on the yard (major shout-out to those of you who have already volunteered!) A few reminders for when you're on watch:

  • Be super VISIBLE (walk around, stay standing, avoid being hidden by students coming to speak to you)
  • Be super VIGILANT (really look around, walk over to groups of students that are huddled in the far corners of the yard, walk past the bathrooms several times, and please no cell phone use during supervision).

Supervision Schedule 3 - 8

1/11 - School Resumes

1/12 - Semester 1 Rewards

1/18 - MLK - No School

1/20 - PIM

1/21 - SSC #6 Meeting

1/27 - College Day

1/29 - SOM/Fun Friday
