Desert Ridge High School

5 Days a Week In Person

The governing board has made the decision that starting Monday February 1, all students will be returning to campus 5 days a week. We are excited to have all of our students back on campus everyday. For everyone's safety, please continue to complete the student health assessment daily and do not send sick students to school. https://www.gilbertschools.net/healthservices Students awaiting COVID test results need to stay home until a negative test result is received. We all have a part to play and I thank you in advance for doing all you can for the Desert Ridge students, staff, and community.

Wednesday, February 3 is an early release day and students will be released at 11:20. The bell schedule for the day is below.

Thank you for your ongoing support and please stay safe and healthy as we continue with 2nd semester.

Registration Update

Counselors are starting to confirm registration requests for the 2021-2022 school year. Please take a look at your student's academic planner to see what he/she has selected for courses next school year. You can do so by logging into your parent Infinite Campus account and selecting "Academic Planner" from the menu on the left. Please feel free to reach out to your student's counselor if you have any questions about course selections for the 2021-2022 school year.

Renovated Front Desk Area

When entering the school you may notice upgraded security features at the front desk of our campus. These enhancements include a purpose built entrance with secure interior doors and new check-in procedures. This new area will be where our receptionist and attendance will be located. They will be moving into this area very soon.

These enhancements are part of a district-wide safety and security initiative to build safe and supportive schools for our students and staff. Desert Ridge is delighted to be one of the first GPS schools to be part of this initiative that will be rolled out to all schools across the district in due course.

The enhancements are based on proven security models used in many other school districts across the country and we anticipate that our students will quickly get used to the new features.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team and we will be happy to help.
