Quist ROYALS Weekly News
March 10, 2023
Hello ROYALS!
Parent Climate Survey - Your Feedback Matters!
It's time for our spring Parent Climate Survey. During our last climate survey in the fall, we had a little less than 200 parents respond. With more than 900 students at Quist, we have the opportunity to, at least, quadruple that number! Your honest feedback in what we are doing well and opportunities where we can grow makes us better. So, take a few minutes to complete this survey and help us help you!
Congratulations to our girl's basketball team!
Our Lady Royals won the girl's basketball championship against Stuart Middle School on 3/9/23.
Thank you to Coach Berner and Coach Morris for a great season!
Spirit Week March 14-17
WEB is hosting a Mental Health Week for our students and staff. In conjunction with that, they are also hosting a spirit week.
Spring Conferences
It is time for Spring Parent Teacher conferences again! Our feedback from our Fall conferences was our community enjoys a variety of options to meet with the staff. Quist will hold our Parent Teacher Conferences in both a virtual and in person format.
Our Virtual only options are on Monday, March 13 from 12:30-4 p.m., and then again on Wednesday, March 15 and Thursday, March 16 from 5-6:30 p.m. These virtual conferences are by appointment only. You can sign up for the teachers you need to speak with using this document. This document also contains the Zoom Links. For those that want the in-person conference, no appointment is needed. You can come to the school Monday, March 13 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. to meet with our staff.

CMAS Opt Out
Parents can opt their student out of testing by completing this form as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. One needs to be filled out for each student attending Quist. Students who opt out of testing will spend most of the day likely in the cafeteria for quiet independent worktime but will be able to attend their explore classes and lunch/recess with their peers. Students may also be excused from attending school on those days but parents will still be required to call the attendance line to report those absences.
Enjoy your weekend, do something that fills your bucket and brings you joy. We will see you all next week!
On behalf of the ROYALS Community,
Principal Norris-Buck
