PLCs: Grades 3-5

1st Round of PLCs for all grade levels are encouraged to focus on reviewing available data in Unify etc. (do not panic if it is not there), aligning assessments to SLOs, analysis of the 'blue sheet' received at 9/26 faculty meeting.
On the blue sheet, review of the standard deficits students are coming into the grade level with (Left column) and standard deficits students left their grade level with last year (Right column).

Overall, please take this time to make sure you are in a good place with your SLO. PLC Leads, please share your PLC agenda with Dr. Quick-McQueen, Mr. LaCount, and IRTs electronically. Thank you

GREEN NOTE: We will be pushing out the use of the GREEN NOTE (see picture above) to streamline notes that are being sent into the Main Office for dismissal, attendance, etc. Please share with your parents the week of October 8th. Please let us know if you have questions.
There will be a grade level Box Top Contest beginning Monday, October 1st through Monday, October 22nd to benefit the L.E.S. PTA. The grade level with the most box tops collected will receive extra recess supervised by Mr. LaCount and Dr. Quick-McQueen. Box tops can be turned in via collection sheets, ziploc bags or envelopes (sent to the Main Office). No staples, please! Each submission should be labeled with the student’s name AND teacher’s name. Expired box tops will not count towards the contest.
If you do your grocery shopping at Harris Teeter, please help the PTA by using code #5302 at check out. PTA will get money back from Harris Teeter for your purchases. Thank you!
Collaborative Planning: We are asking each teacher enter their absence in AESOP when doing collaborative planning. If you are a morning group, please custom your times to 8:35 - 12:05 and Afternoon custom your times to12:35 - 4:05. Please let us know if you have questions. Thank you.
In an effort to assist with scheduling substitutes for collaborative planning, we are asking for the following grade levels when scheduling collaborative planning to share the day (K,1,5) and (2, 3, 4). This will help with filling sub spots. Let me know if this is not clear. Thank you
The Front Office would like to thank you so much for your efforts and extra set of eyes on the transportation sheets for dismissal. The process has been smoothing out!
Fall Carnival, October 26th....the PTA is looking for teacher volunteers to assist with trick-o-treating in the building the evening of Fall Carnival. There will be an incentive for attending Fall Carnival and CONNECTING with students. Please let Dr. Quick-McQueen know by Thursday, October 4th if you would like to volunteer. Thank you!
