Adding to Your Technology Toolbox
Tools to make everyday more engaging ~ Easy as 1, 2, 3
Today's Assignment
Today, I am going to share an assortment of tools and ideas that you can add to your technology toolbox. Your challenge is to find one that you like and try it with your students.
Key Points for Integrating Technology
Remember Integration doesn't have to be hard.
- Keep it simple.
- Start slow.
- Focus on your content not the technology.
- Think about what you want the students to do or know in the end and then how/what technology can assist me with that.
Below are a couple of suggestions for starting slow and easy while utilizing technology. You're not changing WHAT you do, you're just changing HOW you do it.
1 ~ Software Program
SMART Notebook
The SMART Notebook software has built in interactivity. Use the new LAB features to quickly create fun and engaging activities.
- Shout Out
- Super Sort
- Rank Order
- Flip Out
- Fill in the Blank
- Match 'Em Up
2 ~ Types of Websites
3 ~ iPad Apps
It's your turn!
Add to the Padlet about what you learned today and which tool you plan on trying in your classroom.

I've used this one before, but I like it so much, I think it's worth talking about again.
