Why We Love Don Ortega.

Don Ortega was introduced to trance music in 2004 when his best friend of high school introduced him to Paul Oakenfold’s live sets that were recorded on to CD. After discovering Paul Oakenfold, Don fell in love with other artists such as Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren in the mid 2000s. Don most appreciated the transitions of the songs, often times rewinding compilation discs to hear the transitions again and again.

In early 2010, Don decided to invest in a disc player mixer all-in-one set to learn how to beatmatch. By the end of 2010, he decided it was time to go somewhere with his love of trance. At the time, he talked to his two brothers – Casiano and Carlos – and Euphoric Nation was born. Both of his brothers were experimenting with Fruity Loops and the creation of music, whereas Don only knew how to DJ the music. They started releasing a radio show called Trance Paradise in the winter of 2010. It was originally an hour mixed.

In early 2011, Don sought out Romel Brown to help with managing the current group.

In mid-2011, the radio show changed to two hours to keep up with others in the industry.

At the end of 2011, Don started to experiment with Fruity Loops and is working on collaborating on the production side with the other group members. Don’s dream is to DJ in front of thousands while sharing his love of trance with the world.
