Next Step in Guided Reading

PLAEA will be offering training on August 3-4 & 14-15, 2017

This course has recently been added due to the August 7-10th training being full.

Educators will use the book Next Step Forward in Guided Reading* as a guide to learn an approach to guided reading instruction. Participants will analyze reading assessments to plan instruction, collaboratively plan guided reading lessons, view lessons being taught, and design meaningful literacy stations. Implementation and coaching back in district will be follow-up for all participants.

*Required to have the book for the training

Credit Information

Participants will be able to receive 1 license renewal credit OR 1 college credit. Participants who wish to earn credit must attend a minimum of 3 days and complete the required work detailed in the syllabus. Click here to see the class requirements.
