WINTER CARPOOL ARRIVAL
On days when temperatures and/or wind chill are below 32 degrees, safety patrol will be unable to assist outside. Due to the lack of help from our safety patrol, please encourage your students to exit on the curb side and enter the building. There will be Miller Staff outside to greet students and assist in the event you have a special need. We will be taking students in through the normal South entrance near the gym as well as POD 1 Kinder/1st back entrance. This will make the process of getting in during the winter days more efficient. Thank you for your help!

NEWS FROM NURSE JOHNSON
1. Get yourself and your family vaccinated!
2. Take everyday preventive actions to help stop the spread of flu viruses! (see below)
3. Take Antiviral Drugs if Your Doctor Prescribes Them!
Dear Miller Families,
We are still seeing a great deal of flu activity in the community. Most of the time flu activity peaks between December and February, although activity can last as late as May. Please see link below for some great information from the CDC on the flu virus. You can also find useful information on the FISD website under health services.
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/consumer/symptoms.htm
A few reminders on ways to prevent the spread of the flu virus.
· Proper hand washing (soap and water for 20 seconds and hand sanitizer in between)
· Washing hands after certain activities, including bathroom breaks, after recess and before lunch
· Cough and sneeze etiquette (cough into the upper sleeve or use tissue and dispose of it properly)
· Keeping hands away from eyes, nose and mouth
· Staying home if sick (please see link for FISD guidelines on when to keep student homes when ill)
http://www.friscoisd.org/departments/health-services/school-attendance-guidelines
· And other healthy habits
If your child is at home ill, please email the front office with the signs and symptoms your child is experiencing as we are tracking these illnesses through the county.
Thank you for your ongoing support in keeping our community healthy! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
