COURSE SELECTION TIMELINE:
Monday, January 29th:
Course cards and instructions will be handed out to students during West House Connection.
February 5th -9th:
During class time this week, teachers discuss department course options and recommend appropriate course level to students. Students review the online curriculum guide and continue discussing course selection with parents and teachers and obtain signatures.
February 12th - 13th:
9th grade students will meet with Counselors in the LMC during their social studies classes to enter their course selections.
10th grade students will enter their course selections in the LMC during their English classes.
11th grade students will enter their course selections in the LMC during their Social Studies classes.
Remember to apply for the West High School Scholarship Application. Students need to complete the online application and turn in the printed and signed last page of the application to the Counseling Office by Monday, February 12th at 4:00 p.m. Please find the link here.
UW HELP - Guide to the College Process
Once again UW HELP will be launching our spring texting campaign and we would like to encourage high school juniors to sign up. Students you will receive text messages that will assist with the transition to your senior year, and also get you thinking about attending a UW System campus. Juniors will receive text messages about topics like:
- Choosing a rigorous senior schedule
- Taking the ACT/SAT
- Making the most of summer
- Visiting campuses
- Applying for admission
- And more!
