Antioch Children's Ministry
More than babysitting . . .
I had the opportunity to help in a very busy Preschool-Kindergarten class last Sunday. After the bible lesson where they learned about God's great provision, all the little ones went around praying to Jesus. Without prompting they prayed for their parents, siblings, and for God to perfect what is broken and heal the hurting. My heart was touched by their baby voices bringing their needs before God.
On another note, we asked what were some things God provides us with and a little four-year-old immediately responds with "well, Discipline!" I was laughing so hard I couldn't hear any of the other kids' answers!!
To end, I'm reminded that ministry is more than babysitting. We are coming alongside you, parents as you teach up your children in the way they should go. Please let us know how we can assist. Whether that's offering parenting classes, taking away classes and programs for more family time at home or something else.

"P" Is For Patient
The LORD is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
Last week's lesson emphasized God's fierce anger at and hatred of sin. So why doesn't God destroy all of us right now? It is only God's good pleasure that He is slow to anger and slow to punish (Micah 7:18), so that His sovereign grace may be displayed. How good for us that God is a patient God!

Spring Lesson 26:
To Be Like Jesus: "Loving your Enemies"
Jesus commands us to love others -- including our enemies. We can love our enemies by forgiving them, praying for them, and by doing good to them.
You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.
9:00 Practical Theology & Apologetics

Spring Lesson 26:
Jesus, What a Savior: "Jesus Give Rest to Weary Sinners"
- Jesus came to fulfill the law for sinners so that they could be saved
- Jesus gives rest to a sinner's heart and soul.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Parents! This is what to pray for:
- For hearts that fully rest in the perfect work and righteousness of Jesus alone for salvation
- That God would give both you and your child a love for God's Law and, at the same time, a recognition that salvation can never be earned through obeying the Law
- That you would see, embrace, and trust in Jesus as your perfect law-keeper.
