Central Hub
End of School Year 2020- 2021 Edition
Message from the Principal
Dear Central Parents,
Please read through the newsletter as I have included many summer camp opportunities both through Plainfield and in Hendricks County.
Again, it has been a blessing to serve as the principal at Central Elementary this year. We met both our school goals this year of becoming STEM certified by the State of Indiana and staying with in-person learning for the year. We should all feel very proud.
I am here most of the summer. We are beginning our summer hours on May 26, which means we are here from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. with an hour lunch from 11:30-12:30. Our office is officially closed for the summer from June 16-July14.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding anything you have read please give me a call or email me.
Have an amazing summer!
Julie Thacker
Principal
Grateful for Assistant Principal, Julie Zmijewski
I am so thankful she was able to spend time with us this year. She helped me in so many ways both upfront and behind the scenes.
Julie, your laughter and friendliness will be missed in the building on a daily basis or in some cases every other day :). For me, I will get to continue as your colleague, which makes me smile because I can still laugh and learn from you.
Your Central family wishes you all the best at Brentwood.
Register Your Children For Next Year ASAP
All new and returning students are required to register online before being scheduled into classes for the 2021-2022 year. Please do this so I can get classes made in early June. THANK YOU!
Please use the 2021-2022 Returning Student Registration link to sign in your account, then click the Returning Student Registration (2021-2022) on the bottom of the left menu to complete. This must be done on a computer, not through the PowerSchool app.
For new students or new transfer tuition students, please use the 2021-2022 New Student Registration link
PCSC is accepting new transfer applications for ALL GRADES students from February 1st to June 1st. No transfer applications will be accepted after June 1st. If you have moved out of district, you must register as a new transfer student to remain in Plainfield Schools.
PLEASE NOTE IF MOVING:
If you plan on moving for the start of the 2021-2022 school year, you must submit an address change with your new address on your returning student registration. If your new address is not Central's assigned district, you will be contacted and your registration will be sent to the appropriate school.
Feel free to call the office at 317.839.7707 with registration questions.

Nomination Letter from Mrs. Richard
Gabe Pearson is a great example for May's Value of Integrity. Gabe displays integrity on a daily basis inside and outside of the classroom. As a teacher, I can trust Gabe to make good choices throughout each day. He is polite to his peers and teachers, and he is a good friend to others. Gabe is trustworthy and gives 100% effort on each of his assignments. With these character traits, Gabe has proven to be a role model
for his classmates. I have truly enjoyed having Gabe in my class this year, and know that he will continue to show this integrity throughout next year and the future years to come!
