What is the day of the dead?
The Day Of The Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, in particular the Central and South regions, and by people of Mexican ancestry living in other places, especially the United States. People celebrate the deaths of family members or friends who passed away.
People draw beautiful and colorful skulls on themselves using make up.
The skulls symbolize a beautiful death ("La Bella Muertè" in Spanish), try the makeup look for the festival!
You can eat edible sugar skulls called "Calaveras"
"Calavera" means 'skull' in Spanish.
The skulls are mostly made of sugar or chocolate, and kids eat them on the day of the dead.
