Coyote Connection
Volume 1 Issue 10
Principal's Message
We had a wonderful first ever Spirit Week at the Creek last week. It was great seeing so many of our students and faculty participate. I hope you had a chance to see some of our snap shots on our Facebook page. We will be announcing our Spirit Week winning grade level along with our Mascot's name Monday! Our Coyote Coffee Company launched and our students worked hard putting together orders and delivering those to our staff! This week, we are excited to host our end of the first nine weeks celebration where we will have a bit of school-wide fun at the end of the day. Students who are passing all of their classes, who aren't missing any major assignments, and who have been demonstrating positive student behavior this 9 weeks will be able to participate in our event. Remember, our daily PACK check is a system created and implemented daily so our students are always aware of any outstanding (missing) work as well as their current progress in each class. Please ask your student to show you how s/he conducts his/her PACK check. We also use part of our school day, our FLEX time, as a time for students to meet with teachers to discuss missing work, make up assignments, and to get extra help as needed. The PACK tracker tool located inside your student's agenda is a great place to check for any particular classroom behavioral issues that have required redirection. Of course, for any major behavioral/classroom interruptions, you will be notified by the classroom teacher and/or the administrator who works specifically with your student. For 8th grade, that is Mr. Cook. For 7th grade, that is Mrs. Rhodes. Mr. Cook also works with 6th grade boys. Mrs. Rhodes works with 6th grade girls. If you have questions about your student's grades, the first best step after discussing this with your student and checking Parent Portal for notes, is to contact the teacher directly. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Christine V. McNeil
