Cheetah Chatter Parent Update
Chapel District Elementary School September 10th-17th
9/13 CDES Spirit Night at Panera Bread- Come Support Chapel!
Chapel Families,
We have finished our second week of school #CDES STRONG! Also, our bus and car rider arrival and dismissal have become much more efficient, so thank you for all your help in adhering to our new procedures!
Please be reminded that your child should bring a water bottle to school every day, as well as a mask with several extra clean masks in their book bags. Sometimes students like to change their masks out throughout the day. Also, please be reminded that mesh masks are not allowed.
As we are heading into the 3rd week of school, please be sure to keep your child home if they are not feeling well and to let the school nurse know. TCPS follows strict guidance from the Talbot County Health Department on quarantine procedures when a student is sick or exhibits Covid-19 symptoms. In addition, please make sure you send a parent or doctor's note if your child is absent for any reason.
We are also looking for any parents or family members to join our CDES Parent Advisory Committee. Meetings are held via Zoom for your convenience at 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Please email Dr. Clow if you are interested (kari.clow@talbotschools.org).
Wishing our families a wonderful weekend and please remember those brave Americans who lost their lives on 9/11, with the 20th anniversary approaching tomorrow. Chapel students participated in a moment of silence on morning announcements this morning, and several grade levels are doing lessons on the events of 9/11 and talking about the importance of our everyday heroes (police, fire fighters, first responders).
Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you at Chapel's Panera Bread Spirit Night Monday from 5-9 p.m.! We broke Dairy Queen's sales record in the spring with our last fundraiser and are anticipating another large turnout from our Chapel Cheetah families!
Sincerely,
Dr. Kari M. Clow
CDES Principal

Bring the whole family and participate in our Panera Bread fundraiser on September 13th from 5-9 p.m. Please be sure to show the flyer to mention to the cashier that you are supporting Chapel District Elementary School, in order for our school to get credit. 20% of sales will get donated back to CDES, which will be used for our PBIS incentives for students! Thank you for supporting CDES!
For an online Rapid Pick-up/ Curbside order to count towards your fundraiser night, customers MUST enter the promo code “PRFUND” on the promotional flyer when checking out. If the code is not entered, we will be unable to track and record the transaction.
