Make a Valentine's Day Card for Local Seniors

There is still time for students to make a Valentine's Day card for local seniors. Please bring your cards to school by Monday, February 8th. Virtual Academy students may drop off cards in the box on the porch at 1515 Mayo Ave. (Just down from the school). Let's share the love and spread some smiles!

Monthly Madison Cares Volunteering Highlight: DuPage County Animal Services!

There are many opportunities to get involved in supporting our local animal shelter! Here are some of the ways:

  • Raise money to make a donation towards much needed supplies and care

  • Make item donations that are in great need at the shelter, a “wishlist” is available on the website

  • Foster a dog or cat as they await adoption into their lifetime family

  • Rescue a pet through adoption!

You can also volunteer through the shelter if you are age 10+. Look at options with a parent to determine if you can complete training and make a regular commitment to help the animals! (Check with the shelter on COVID-specific circumstances and safety guidelines)

Opportunities at DCAS include:

  • Small animal volunteer - play and socialize rabbits and other small animals
  • Cat socializer
  • Canine care - dog walking and socializing
  • Kennel & cat room cleaning and assistance
