RISD Dyslexia Parent Night
The district has over 100 parents attend the dyslexia parent education night. I know many of us have busy schedules but they were kind enough to record the meeting. Here is a link to the recording. I plan on listening to it on the commute home!

2022 Dallas International Dyslexia Department Art Contest
The Dallas Branch of the International Dyslexia Association holds an art contest every October during Dyslexia Awareness Month and many times our RISD students have WON! The theme for this year is Literacy Leads the Way.
Please click here for the flyer about the art contest and encourage your students to enter! We have so many TALENTED kids and this is a great opportunity for them to express themselves!
Dyslexia from a Student's Perspective
Hi! Mrs. Beasley here! Being not only a teacher who has the privilege of teaching students with dyslexia as well as a mom with a son who has dyslexia I have always wondered what it feels like from the student's perspective. My son is younger and sometimes has a hard time describing his feelings. This video produced by Learning Ally interviews students and shares their own personal experiences and perspectives. It's short and so informative! Enjoy!
