We believe our students will become lifelong learners and pursue higher education beyond high school, becoming confident, compassionate and productive citizens.
Mission:
We provide our students with an opportunity to grow academically, as well as socially, due to our highly qualified faculty and staff. We engage our families in order to assist with the child’s education so he or she can flourish to the utmost of his or her abilities. Our extracurricular programs, combined with our rigorous instruction, create an environment for Franklin students to succeed.

Message from your Administration
Franklin Families,
April is here! We continue to monitor and work on improving our attendance and also making sure everyone registers for the new 23-24 school year. We need your support in helping us reach our daily goal of 93%. It is important that students come to school every day on time unless they are sick. Every minute of instruction counts and we must work together for all our students to be present and successful. You can log in to your Frontline parent portal account on your laptop, tablet or your phone by visiting www.saisd.net/enroll.
All of our falcons went home with a cardboard kid. Each year, Franklin partners with ChildSafe and their Cardboard Kid program. This program is a city-wide public awareness campaign to draw attention to the pervasiveness of child abuse. These cardboard kids represent one of the thousands of children that are abused and neglected each year. Students can decorate their cardboard kid and bring it back for our reveal day on Thursday, April 6th.
Your opinion matters! Please complete the survey that was sent out earlier this week. The feedback helps us here at Franklin and SAISD as a district. The flyer is also below.
Families we want to continue celebrating you and our partnership. Like our Facebook and see when you might the winner to our raffle drawing.

3rd - 5th STAAR Testing Dates
- 3rd, 4th, & 5th Reading
Tuesday, April 25th
- 5th Science
Tuesday, May 2nd
- 3rd, 4th, & 5th Math
Please be sure your students are here on these testing days.
STAAR is the state's testing program and is based on state curriculum standards in core subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. STAAR tests are designed to measure what students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade. The goal is to ensure that all students receive what they need to be academically successful. Meeting these individual student needs depends greatly on schools, parents, and community members working together.
Before the test, the best preparation is to help your child spend some time relaxing, getting a good night’s rest, and eating healthy meals.
Recycling at Franklin
Franklin Elementary is continuing our participation in the PepsiCo K-12 Recycling Rally. This year, our goal is to recycle 15,000 pounds! Families, to recycle and help our Falcons reach our goal, you can drop off your recycling inside the wooden fence by the gym. Our 5th grade class is currently in the lead for bringing in the most recycling!
