MARIA RESSA - AUDITORIUM DEDICATION

Nobel Laureate Maria Ressa returned to Toms River this weekend to be inducted into the Toms River Schools Hall of Fame and and today, to participate in our auditorium dedication in her name. Maria was accompanied by by her family as well as over thirty former classmates and teachers. We were also proud to welcome back her former principal, Mr. Ray Ryan for the event. Students from both High Schools East and South joined our students for the occasion. It was a wonderful celebration of Toms River! Our school rock band, "The Grilled Cheese Sandwiches" played "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" for Maria as she once sang the song on the same stage during a student talent show.

Thank you to all of the people who worked hard to make this event possible and to all of our students who attended. They represented their families and our school extremely well.
