- The senior class will meet during Zero Hour in the theatre on Tuesday, Jan. 11. Graduation, graduation supplies, scholarships, attendance and grading will be discussed. Please make plans to attend.

Celebrations
Shout out to our Tech Theatre magnet students who got to work on Alabama Youth Ballet’s production of ‘The Nutcracker’ over the winter break. They had a great experience working with this production.
Shout out to our Magnet Student Athletes on our girl’s basketball team: Jada Colley (Technical Theatre), Je’Niyah Silas (Dance), Makayla Ford (Dance), Limaya Batimba (Film and Video), Sanai Lipscomb (Film and Video), and London Harris (Technical Theatre). Our girls won their division at the Tarkanian Classic Tournament in Las Vegas and our now ranked #1 in 5A!

9th- 12th Grade – Join your grade level Schoology group! The College Counselors post relevant information in the grade level Schoology groups including scholarships, college info, financial aid, upcoming events and more as appropriate for each grade level. Make sure students are checking the “Updates” for these groups regularly.
11th & 12th Grade – Local Scholarship List – Check out the attached list of local scholarships! We update this list as we receive opportunities from local organizations throughout the year.
Huntsville Madison County Builders Foundation
We are now accepting applications for the
HMCBA Foundation Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Huntsville Madison County Builders Foundation is to engage in educational, charitable and scientific activities dedicated to the improvement of the residential housing industry. The Foundation also presents scholarships to students pursuing education in residential housing fields and trades.
Scholarship recipients must:
· Be pursuing education in an accredited two year community college, four year university; or trade school; or already enrolled as a student; and
· Be pursuing a field of study directly related to residential construction field, including drafting, building science, or any technical/trade education
· OR a child of a member of the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association
· Be residents of Madison, Jackson, Limestone, Marshall, or Morgan Counties
For the Fall Semester, the deadline is March 31st; for the Winter Semester, the deadline is September 30th. Interested persons must fill out this application in its entirety by the deadline date.
2022 Weekend Scholar (WES) Program
The Greater Huntsville (AL) Chapter of the Links Incorporated is pleased to announce the 2022 Weekend Scholar (WES) Program, which is a signature youth enrichment program designed to motivate, stimulate and engage the curiosity of students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Health, International Issues, Math, and Life Skills training, through real-world experiences. The program is geared toward students in high school but we are focused on recruiting students in grades 9 and 10 as noted in the attached WES cover letter.

The North Alabama Center for Educational Excellence (NACEE) has once again been awarded a Talent Search grant. We are excited to continue offering free support services to the students of Lee High School.
The Talent Search Program identifies and assists individuals from underrepresented populations who have the potential to succeed in higher education.
I would like to meet with you to discuss the free services (virtual and in-person) we will be able to give to your students, including:
- Tutorial services
- Academic, financial, career counseling
- Post-secondary school information
- Exposure to college campuses
- Career exploration
- Mentoring/job shadowing
- ACT Prep
- Assistance in completing college admissions and financial aid applications
- STEM and STEAM activities
- Summer component
- Workshops for families of participants

Notes from the Nurse on Medication and COVID protocols
At this time, our CoVid Isolation/Exclusion criteria has not changed. We will continue to go by the guidelines we have been going by since before the break. If anything changes we will let you know.
