Week 26 in 2D
Ready for an adventure in learning?
No School on Monday
We are beginning to study poetry this week, and we'll be reading and writing couplets. In grammar, we are studying past, present, and future tense verbs. We are also finishing the recording of our folktales and hope to have a film festival with the Kindergarten classes. In math, we are beginning Unit 8 which focuses on fractions. Cooking and baking with your child is a great way to support our study of fractions.
Holding a Horseshoe Crab
Their gills are called book gills.
Long Jump
We found the median and mode of our jumps.
Meeting Sea Stars
Some scientists do not like to call them starfish because well...they're not fish!
Plants and People
Increasing the Oxygen in 2D!
This week we will begin studying plants. I would love to cover the room in plants. If you have any cool houseplants, (I can return them), or would like to donate herbs or other small plants, please fell free to send them in. Even sending in cuttings, avocado pits, or plant seeds would be awesome!
