Message from the Principal
As we are reaching the end of this school year, it is important to reflect on all of the changes we have experienced. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with an amazing staff, parents, and students. The best part of finishing something is finding ways to improve and make it better for the next year.
Below is a quick parent survey from our governing board to help improve and support our wonderful school.

Thank you for all of your support,

After School Pick Up Reminder
COLOR RUN!
PLEASE BE SURE YOUR STUDENT WEARS CLOTHES THEY DONT MIND GETTING DIRTY IN AND REMEMBER THAT YOUR STUDENT WILL BE MESSY AS WE DONT HAVE A PLACE TO COMPLETELY WASH ALL OF THE CHALK OFF! (If you feel it is necessary you may want to bring a towel for them to sit on in the car to keep your seats clean. Some students will be messier then others.)
The money we raise this year will go towards ADVANTAGE ARTS ACADEMY SCHOOL SAFETY! We have sent out envelopes for donations to be made by cash or check. You can donate online through the scan code below or at this website https://secureinstantpayments.com/sip/cart/event.php?EID=4981
Please make sure to add the students name and if you are donating per lap or just the flat donation. We can not wait to do this fundraiser again this year!
We will be needing volunteers for many different things. If you would like to help in any way with this epic fundraiser please contact Miss Loni (Our Librarian) at:
We have plenty of ways to help with this fundraiser, from donating time to donating supplies needed to make this happen.
Some of the things we are looking to have donated are:

Households Must Apply for Free or Reduced-price Lunch by May 6 . To Be Eligible for Pandemic EBT
SALT LAKE CITY – Utah households will need to apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits with their local school no later than May 6 to be potentially eligible for pandemic EBT (P-EBT). P-EBT can help individuals purchase food if their children have temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to school closures from COVID-related emergencies, or other COVID-related school absences during the 2021-2022 school year. To qualify for P-EBT, individuals must be signed up for free or reduced-price school meals.
During the 2021-22 school year, all students, regardless of income status, can receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each day they attend school.
However, this does not qualify students for P EBT, nor does it automatically give students free-reduced status. To determine the free-reduced status of a student, individuals must apply through their school.
Individuals can find information on how to contact their local school at:
https://www.uah.org/get-help/school-meals.
Please visit jobs.utah.gov/PEBT for more information on the P-EBT program.

Kindergarten Mother's Day Tea
Teacher Appreciation Week
Thank you to everyone who donated lunch, items to our staff, and /or brought in gifts or items for the teachers! We are so grateful that we have such incredible students and parents.
Center Stage
2nd Grade Portraits
In second grade students learned more about self portraits and how they can represent the way that we feel or act. Each student came up with a pose and then were photographed. They traced that picture onto transparent paper and painted parts of it. We will attach these portraits to the abstract backgrounds they made last week and you'll be able to see the final products in our art shows on Tuesday and Thursday.
5th Grade Printmaking
In fifth grade, students made relief prints by carving into a rubber block and stamping it onto paper. This week we worked on finishing the carving and actually rolling the block with ink and printing it onto the paper. The results are amazing! You'll have to come see them at the art show next week!
Get Involved
We have so many fun opportunities to volunteer at our amazing school and be part of all of the fun!
Our next big volunteer opportunity is our upcoming color run! This EVENT will be in May! We are looking to start a parent crew to help out with this activity! Please reach out to Miss Loni if you want to be part of this incredibly amazing fundraiser!
Thank you to everyone that has volunteered so far this year. You are the reason Advantage Arts Academy is so amazing.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS!
We would like to send an extra special shout out to EVERYONE that donates to our school! We are who are and are able to do what we do because of all of you! Thank you to all of our amazing parents that support our staff! We appreciate you all more then we can begin to express!
Make sure to stop into these businesses and and show them some love.
