REMC Classroom Maker: Big Picture
The REMC Classroom Maker Project is available to classrooms throughout Michigan. The project has been designed to encourage classroom teachers to explore hands-on, maker activities for their students. The day will be broken into smaller modules revolving around the tools in the REMC maker kit: 3D printers, engineering tools such as KEVA Planks and Strawbees, Coding with Spheros, Ozobots, and Dash, along with other digital creation tools. This is the perfect session for new Maker Ambassadors to come and get an overview on all the project has to offer!

Promoting STEM Through Literature
Use literature to get your students excited about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by actively involving them in the design thinking process. Develop their inquiry and problem-solving skills, while helping them see that with perseverance, anyone can be innovative and invent new things! We will walk you through a lesson that begins with a reading activity and moves into the design thinking process, focusing on one of the Maker Kit items available for free checkout through your local REMC in Michigan. All of our lessons are available for free, as well.
