Letter from the Principal
10/16/2020
Hello Sundling Families,
What a great week of teaching and learning at WRS! It was great to see students walk the halls after almost 7 months of being at home. I cannot say enough about the dedication and work of the WRS teachers, program assistants, support staff, office staff, and our custodians to get us to where we are today. Although we still face many challenges ahead, I am humbled by the Sundlling community and the continued efforts to support our students. Thank you to both our in person and virtual families for your continued understanding and support as we learn to navigate yet another way to teach and learn this school year. We have accomplised a lot together over the past few months.
1st Quarter grades will be posted in Infinite Campus for viewing on Friday, October 16, 2020. We will not be sending home hard copies of report cards, but if a hard copy is needed, please contact our school office. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your child's teacher.
Schedule for the Week of October 19th:
Monday, 10/19- A Day
Tuesday, 10/20- B Day
Wednesday, 10/21- A Day
Thursday, 10/22- B Day
Friday, 10/23- All Virtual
A few important reminders:
* Forehead thermometers will be used on every student every day to make sure that no one enters the building with a temperature higher than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The self-certification card will need to be completed and signed by a parent/guardian when student comes to school in person. Lanyards need to be worn to show self certification. If a student does not bring the signed lanyard, they will be directed to another area to be individually asked the certification questions. *Weekly self-certification cards will be color coded by week and provided to students Thursday (B Day) and Monday (A Day).
* Chromebooks will need to be fully charged every evening whether a student is in-person or distance. * It is recommended that students that are coming in person bring their Chromebook charger with them to and from school each day in case it is needed for charging purposes. * It is also recommended that students bring ear buds/headphones with them daily.
Thanks for all of your continued support of our school! It’s a Great Day to be a Paladin! #sundlingstrong
Take care and stay well,
