Team Cayuga News

Thank you!!!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our team breakfast on Tuesday. It was nice that all of the students were able to relax, socialize, and enjoy some food before our trip to GEVA. The field trip itself also went very well, and the show was great. (Hopefully your child has told you all about it).
Last Cayuga News of 2015
Also, this is most likely the last edition of Team Cayuga News until 2016, so on behalf of all of us, thank you for all of your help and support (and for reading these newsletters), have a Happy Holidays, enjoy your time off, and best wishes on a great 2016!
Social Studies: Unit Test on Tuesday
Students have a Vocabulary Review Packet that is due on Monday (12/21).
Students should also study their (pink) class notes for this unit. Copies of flashcards as well as our class notes are available on my website or by clicking HERE for note-sheet #1 and HERE for note-sheet #2, HERE for note-sheet #3, and HERE for note-sheet #4 (which we will be completing on Monday).
As part of this unit, students have been reviewing and reinterpreting our class notes to create their own condensed, "creative" notes. (Copies of creative note packet #1 and packet #2 are available on my website). Because we are spending less class time on reviewing for our unit test, I have decided to try allowing students to use their own creative notes during our unit test on Tuesday. So, it would be a good idea for kids to make sure that these notes are complete and accurate! (Students can also check my creative note examples to make sure they have included the important information; l will try to post more examples for the second packet on my website if I have a chance to finish them over the weekend).

Math
Math Tests for ALL classes on Tuesday.
Period 2: Chapter 2 (percents)
Period 3, 4, 7, 9: Chapter 6B (multi – step equations)
There will be reviews for both chapters on my website by the end of Friday.
Science Update
On Tuesday, Cayuga students will also be having a measurement test in Science. This will include definitions and making measurements.
English
Is there any homework tonight?
All 7th grade students are expected to have and use their agendas throughout the day. Agendas should be the first source for info about assignments, tests, etc. If your child forgets to bring his/her agenda home, (or if what your child recorded is unclear or illegible), you can also try our "homework hotline". You can also check up on missing assignments and/or grades through our Infinite Campus Student/Parent Portal.
If students have work that has been saved on the school's network, they should be able to access the school network by clicking HERE; NOTE: The password for all school webpages is Canandaigua .
