The State of the Arts

The Quarterly Digital Publication of the Fine Arts of PCSD

Happy Spring, 2021

Each school year, you are used to seeing our Quarterly, Digital publication come out with pictures and articles about all the great things going on in the arts.

Also, each spring we host a community-wide event entitled Fine Arts Day in which 7,000+ people from our Paulding community join together to celebrate the arts with a day of performances, student artwork on display, a professional art auction, food trucks, vendors and artisans, and the very popular ArtLympics Competitions; All of which is sponsored by many community sponsors

This year, we are unable to host such a large-scale event but that doesn’t mean there aren’t just as many wonderful things to celebrate about the arts in the Paulding County School District.

We have decided to combine the efforts of our State of the Arts Publication with the excitement of Fine Arts Day for a whole new experience that you can enjoy right now, from your device.

On this newly refreshed Fine Arts Website, you will find performances and fresh works of art from hundreds of Paulding students as well as links to our preferred vendors in our first ever Virtual Vendor Alley!

But more than all of these things, I hope you will notice something far more valuable.

I hope you will notice resilience, determination, grit and pure joy on each of the faces you see.

We may have started this year unsure how they might make music or perform or how to enjoy art making again in all of its wonderful forms.

I am so happy to say that the arts in Paulding have not only survived, they have thrived. Quite simply, the arts have done what they always do – they have healed. The arts have been our happy place and I certainly hope you see that in this special edition of The State of the Arts.

The State of the Arts is stronger than ever.

Engage. Inspire. Prepare.
