Sparta
Ancient Greece was home to two powerhouse civilizations. They were named Athens and Sparta. Sparta engaged in many wars, but one day disappeared due to a siege of a fortress. Sparta however, had a very different education that made them successful in war. They taught children how to fight. People benefited due to things such as gender and war experience. Athens and Sparta engaged in a war and both Sparta and Athens fought hard.
A Spartan Warrior Helmet
The boys and men were in the army from a young age. When they would return from war, they would be celebrated and benefit in respect. Similar to the respect we pay for veterans.
Spartan Men
The Spartan males benefited as well. They had a say in certain actions in the civilization. They were also sometimes chosen to rule in the oligarchy.
Oligarchy
The few men chosen to rule in the oligarchy largely benefited from it. They were powerful and they always had power. They were strong and got a lot of food.
The War between Athens and Sparta
During the years 431-404 B.C., Athens and Sparta engaged in wars with one another. Sparta was most likely victorious due to their strong army. It consisted of boys from 7+. They were well trained and very strong in strategy due to their many victories.
