MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Hello Rancho families!

It's a great week to be a Eagle! Our 3 year mid-cycle review for our school accreditation took place on Tuesday. Our WASC visitor was extremely complimentary of our students, parents and teachers. A big thank you to those who took time out of your day to meet with her.

So many things are happening in our classrooms and on our campus. Our physics classes are playing with cool toys as they explore electricity. Biology is deep into genetics. Art classes are learning to use the iPads to digital drawing. PE is playing frisbee golf. English classes are embedding video clips into their notes.

Students are engaged in their own education. They are connected to our amazing teachers, and they are making connections with each other. Shout out to to Dominic for letting me beat him in table tennis at lunch.

Great to be an Eagle!

STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

Haley Jackson

Haley is a very nice and wonderful person that has been flying under my radar recently. I had no idea she is one of my best students and has an A and almost all her assignments turned in until recently when I was checking my gradebook. I would like to have her recognized because so many times nice, good, hard- working people don't get noticed because they aren't making a big scene and this was the case with Haley. It is really nice having her in class because now I get to know her and her kind personality. I love her spark and personality and that she gets things done and is a good student.

Faith Moore

Faith does an outstanding job in my class every week! Always participating from start to finish and giving her best effort. She truly sees the benefit of being physically active! This will definitely follow her into her everyday life in the future. Great job Faith! Keep up good work!

Luis Martinez

Luis has been very consistent in showing up and getting his work done. He's also been working really hard to get caught up on older missing assignments. Keep up the great work, Luis!

Employee Of The Week

Tony Varzeas

Tony joined the RVHS team as our Campus Supervisor last year. He came to us with prior experience in our district at Gardner middle school where his wife also works. Tony has a lot of life experience gained from his time in the marines and he has recently finished his teaching credential and is looking to become a special ed teacher. Tony has roots in both Temecula and Texas, being that his youngest son attends Great Oak and was recently accepted into Baylor, where his other kids have graduated from.

Tony has had a great impact on our campus from the beginning. He was put in charge of running a student Hub and helping students navigate canvas, which he did seamlessly. He has always been willing to help out wherever he was needed. From calling the parents of the Ghost list to setting up the campus for technology pickups. He is great with the students, making them feel comfortable during this transition time back to campus. Tony has shown an amazing ability to work with our students without making them feel anxious or stressed. This can be difficult as the campus supervisor, but he makes it look easy. Thank you Tony for being a Rock Star. You are the Employee of the Week.
