A message from me...

Good Afternoon Jerome Families!

I hope my message finds you well and you have had a great start to your summer! I have been enjoying a slightly slower pace and getting to catch up on many projects that didn't quite get done this past year ; ) While I am enjoying my time off, I do miss our students and staff. They bring life to the building and I look forward to early August when the activity begins to pick up.

As the calendar turns to July and we head into this July 4th weekend, I do like to send an update with some information to frontload you as we move closer to the start of school. I will likely send a couple of more updates prior to Aug. 2nd and then begin my weekly communications starting Aug. 6th.

I would like to welcome all of our new Jerome families reading this communication for the first time. We are truly excited for you to be a Celtic and I look forward to meeting you all in person very soon!

Below you will find some updates about a variety of items that may be relevant to you. Some are district-related and some are building specific. I would invite you to take some time to review and if you have questions please feel free to reach out to us.

I hope that you all have an enjoyable 4th of July weekend and I will be seeing you all very soon!

Be well!

New Jerome Staff

Each year brings changes to our Jerome staff and this year was no exception. We are excited to welcome many new certified and classified staff members to Jerome. This includes two new Assistant Principals. I will share more details about our other new staff members in a later newsletter I would like to give you a brief introduction to our new Assistants.

Mrs. Donita Hampton is joining us from Reynoldsburg and brings a wealth of experience as a leader. She will be working with students and families with the last names (A-G) as well as assuming an array of responsibilities. Please join me in welcoming Donita to Dublin and Jerome High School!

Dr. Bryan Arnold will be new to the AP role but not Jerome. Dr. Arnold has been with Jerome for a number of years as a teacher and we are excited to have him assume this new leadership position. He will be working with students and families with the last names (O-Z) and assuming a variety of other responsibilities. Please congratulate Bryan in his new role!

☘️ Dublin City Schools Summer Update ☘️

This year all of DCS communications will come via S'more which is the same format used for my weekly communications. Please see the link below for the DCS Summer Update.

2021 DCS Summer Reading Lists

Literacy involves reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking, and interacting. When considering reading, research shows that choice and volume of reading are essential to reading development. Reading over the summer is a critical way to maintain and build upon the reading habits developed throughout the school year. Dublin City Schools values our students’ reading lives. Therefore, we will provide year-round opportunities for our students to engage in experiences that will allow them to grow in literacy.

All Summer Reading Details are available on the district website AND on the DCS Extended Learning Site.

All of our sports programs have activities going on throughout the summer. If you have questions or want to explore what is going on please feel free to go to the Athletics Website or email Mr. Bline.

  • Be sure your physical is up-to-date so you are able to fully participate. Final forms will send you a reminder. If you are new to Final Forms please reach out to Mr. Bline.

  • OHSAA extended Scholarship waiver for student-athletes in the Fall. However, the Scholarship Bylaws will return after the first quarter. Please be sure you are taking at least five one-credit courses this fall. All eligibility requirements will return at the end of the 1st quarter. In addition, DCS has a 2.0 GPA requirement that also must be met. Questions? Please contact your school counselor or Mr. Bline.
The Dublin Jerome PTO does a wonderful job supporting the students and staff of Dublin Jerome. Sacha Bonny and Amy Niekamp will be the co-presidents for this upcoming school year. Thank you to them for committing their time to Jerome!

We are always looking for volunteers and donations to support the many areas that is supported by the PTO over the year. If you are interested you may visit the PTO website: or email
