Message from the Principal
Hello Fariview Families,
Because of dangerously high COVID-19 levels in Adams County and indications that public health officials will order a new round of restrictions to try and slow the spread of the virus, Westminster Public Schools /Fairview has made the difficult decision to suspend in-person learning through the winter break.
In order to prepare for remote learning through winter break teachers will be at Fairview Monday November 16th, gathering more supplies, preparing student materials and working with teams to ensure quality instruction for your students. Monday November 16th, students will log on to Zoom at 8am and work with the teacher until 9am. Students will work independently for the remainder of the day, students are required to catch-up on EMPOWER assignments, in all content areas. If your student needs immediate help with technology issues please call the front office, 303.428.1405.
Teachers will communicate as we have been through Class DOJO, Zoom and Empower. We also will continue using our health questionnaires for students. Now more than ever, we need to be aware of how students are reacting to the stresses of COVID-19 and the impact not being in school has on their well-being.
We will send out a date soon, when families can come pick up their students prepared materials from our hug and go lane. The information will be posted on Class DOJO, Facebook, Fairview website, robo call/text and email. If we do not have your correct number or email address please call front office to update them please.
For now, the school lunch program will remain the same, pick up at Fairview between 10:45-12:45pm daily. This could change as the holidays approach. We will keep you updated.
We are aware that the return to full-time remote learning is not the ideal solution for staff or students, but given the circumstances, this is a very responsible step.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Please remain safe and take all the necessary steps to protect you and your loved ones.
Thanks,
Principal Cyr
