Two angles are Adjacent when they have a common side and a common vertex (corner point), and don't overlap.

## Alternate exterior angles

Alternate exterior angles are congruent. Alternate exterior angles are defined as two exterior angles, which cut through a set of parallel lines.

## Alternate interior angles

these are inside the two parallel lines, and are on opposite sides of the transversal.

And they are equal in measure.

## Complementary angles

Complementary angles are two angles that sum up to 90°.

## Corresponding angles

1. the angles that occupy the same relative position at each intersection where a straight line crosses two others. If the two lines are parallel, the corresponding angles are equal.

## Supplementary angles

Supplementary angles are angles that have angles that add up to 180°

## vertical angles

Vertical angles are each of the pairs of opposite angles made by two intersecting lines.

## Parallel lines

Parallel lines are a set of lines that run straight side by side and never ending.

## Perpendicular Lines

at an angle of 90° to a given line, plane, or surface. Shows with a small square at the corner of the 90° angle.

## Transversal line

a transversal is a line that passes through two lines in the same plane at two distinct points.

The outside line or boundary for a geometric figure.

In geometry the area of a shape is the size of the surface.

## surface area

The total area of the surface of a three-dimensional object.

## volume

Volume is the measure of the amount of space inside of a solid figure, like a cube, ball, cylinder or pyramid in cubic meters.

## circumference

Circumference = π × diameter = 2 × π × radius.

## diameter

the diameter of a circle is any straight line segment that passes through the center of the circle.

The distance from the center to the edge of a circle. It is half of the circle's diameter.

a face is a flat surface that forms part of the boundary of a solid object

## edge

an edge is a particular type of line segment joining two vertices in a shape.

## vertex

a vertex is a special kind of point that describes the corners or intersections of geometric shapes.
