PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE 💖💖
You Got This!
HAPPY Monday, Lowe Owls!
I hope that you had an amazing weekend and that you all are still thriving and recharged from the break!
We only have one more week. This week must be focused, strategic, and consistent. We have successfully modeled GRIT all year and now is the time for us to show our students despite the prevailing circumstances we can remain resilient and continue to develop into our best and brightest selves. It is evident that you are persistent and dedicated to teaching your students reading, writing, and math. As leaders of your class you consistently pour knowledge and love into the students which in our experience, students’ demeanor changes when they feel love and feel good about themselves. Showing them your passion when you teach will inspire them to show up and perform.
We are in the last quarter of the game. The time is now to pull out all the stops.
WE CAN. WE WILL. WE MUST!!!
WE GOT THIS, TEAM LOWE!!

Our goal is ‘We accept EVERY INDIVIDUAL as THEY ARE.’ All students have fundamental rights, and everyone has a place here at Jack Lowe Sr Elementary. We will teach them to respect each other,
Unusual questions are not a bother. Please know that YOUR CHILD is an individual and we will treat them with respect and care. Hopefully, will you dare celebrate with us in their ongoing care.

✨SHOUT OUTS✨
Self-Care April
Dr. Zysk is our new Associate Superintendent for Region III: Conrad Vertical Team
- Associate Superintendents (AS) will visit campuses each week on Monday – Thursday throughout the school day beginning the week of January 17th.
During visits with Executive Directors, the Associate Superintendents will follow the visit agenda/coaching cycle of the ED.
When walking without the ED, Associate Superintendents will utilize the agenda below.
Most campus visits will range from 30 minutes to 1 hour. We value the time of our principals.
The purpose of the agenda is to ensure that Associate Superintendents exhibit transparency, connect with principals, align coaching and support across regions, and set clear expectations for scheduled and unscheduled campus visits.

Hey, Hey JLE OWLS!
The competitiveness we saw prior to our STAAR 2.0 training was incredible!
Thank you for ALL the hustle and participation. With the testing season fast approaching, let's talk ACTIVE monitoring!
Here are some tips from our seasoned Jack Lowe testing proctors ...
- Take a SILENT stretch break every 30 - 45 minutes.
*If you do it, they will!
Check on the student's well-being, OFTEN.
(ie. ask if they need anything, if they are tired have them stand up or take a sip of water)
- Switch out dull pencils for sharp ones.
*even the little things matter.
- Get your steps! *points are doubled during testing days. =)
5. ALL students in your group should know that you CARE about them and their success.
*We are a FAMILY and ALL students are OUR students.
6. Do not be passive. *All students MUST show strategies.
7. Create strong, trusting relationships with the students you are testing.
- hint * hint * Homeroom teachers, the day of the test should NOT be the first time your students are meeting their test proctors.
We all know it's not FUN to be in ONE location testing ALL day, but we are their cheerleaders, their motivators, and their supporters!
Let's give them the BEST possible environment to show everything they KNOW!
All things Testing!
