Potter News
October 2019
Happy Fall!
As always the safety and security of our students is our number one priority, therefore we ask that you adhere to the following dismissal procedures if applicable. If your child is scheduled to take a bus and you will not be utilizing bus transportation this year we ask that you sign the transportation waiver form by clicking this link. Please remember that if you are coming to pick your child up early we will call your child to the office when you arrive at school. Additionally, your child must be in school until 1:15 pm in order for it to count as a full day. We want all of our students to get the maximum amount of instructional time as possible each day.
We are looking forward to a great October with our Week of Respect, Global Cardboard Challenge, Terror in the Halls, Halloween festivities and much more. Please make sure to check our website and to download our new Berkeley Township School District App in order to get the most up to date information. When downloading our App please make sure that you select to receive communications from both H & M Potter and the District, and that push notifications are enabled. This is how we will be communicating reminders for upcoming events.

Halloween Parade and Parties
The Potter School Halloween Parade will take place on Thursday October 31, 2019 at 2:30pm. Students will dress in costumes for the parade. Only the two class parents will be allowed into the building on this day. Parents and family members are invited to the playground to view the parade. Face coverings/masks will not be permitted for adults.
Please make sure costumes are safe for students to walk around and easy for them to put on. Children are not to wear their costumes to school. Weapons are not allowed with costumes, please keep them home.
All costumes should be put in a bag clearly marked with the student’s name. Safety of the children is always our number one concern. We ask that you please refrain from signing your child out early on the day of the parade.
Bubble Mania On September 26 our PTA provided all students with the Bubble Mania assembly! This was a great show that combined entertainment with the science behind bubbles. The students had a great time, and three lucky students were placed into a bubble! Thank you PTA! | Go Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness! On September 27 H & M Potter School went Gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness. Lemonade was sold at each lunch to benefit the Emiliana's Hope Foundation. There will be two more chances to purchase lemonade on Friday October 4 and Friday October 11. | Welcome Back! It was so great to welcome our students back for the 2019-2020 school year on September 4. Even the Potter Panther showed up to greet our students! |
