Whatever It Takes. Every Student. Every Day.
This was a heavy week for the staff and students of HES as we navigate the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Mrs. Lou Brock. She was a beloved and irreplaceable mother, grandmother, and member of the HES community. If you would be willing to reach out to your student's teacher to express any messages of support, gratitude, or otherwise, I know they would be greatly appreciated and uplift some weary spirits. Please do not forget the specials area teachers, office staff, and special education team as well. All members of the staff here are valuable, and create the learning environment that helps your students succeed every day. Whether it's a hand made card from a student, email of appreciation, or even a post-it note, any sign of thanks would go a long way to start the process of healing. We're all in this together. While there are many challenges that go along with being a small community, the fact that the school is at the center compared to larger cities is what helps us pull together, and lean on each other when necessary.
Go Hornets,
Mr. Pennington
