Team Fisher's Classroom News
September 3-6
Teacher's Note
I can’t believe we finished our 4th full week of school together. Team Fisher is in full swing and doing well. I am so proud of the community we are building. They have taken our classroom theme, #choosekind, seriously and truly want to make a difference inside and outside the classroom. We are getting to know each other through our community circles. Our community circles have already been used as a restorative circle. Students have used it to communicate hurt feelings and recess issues. The open hearts and honest communication is a skill Team Fisher has learned quickly. I am so proud of them.
Here are a few things to ask your child about:
FAPs (focused attention practices)
Prefrontal Cortex and Amygdala
Calming Corner
Most importantly…..What are you learning?
Please do not hesitate to reach out for more information on our social emotional and academic learning in the classroom. We typically have community circle everyday around 7:45-8:05. Feel free to join us!
Thanks for all your support and sharing your child with me! I love what I do and feel blessed to be your child’s teacher.
