The Haiti earthquake happened at Port-au-Prince, Haiti on January 12, 2010. A transform boundary caused the Haiti earthquake. The magnitude of the earthquake was 7. The location of the epicenter is Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

The focus was 13km below surface.
The death toll is from 200,000-316,000 people.
How much damage did the earthquake cause (in US dollars?) The damage of the Haiti earthquake was $14 billion dollars
Is there anything else interesting about this earthquake? 4,000 schools were damaged or destroyed and 25% of civil servants in Port-au-Prince died.

The volcano is the archetype of the stratovolcano.
No major cities are in danger because it’s on an island.
December 16, 1707 was when the last eruption.
No human deaths were of a result of this eruption, but there could’ve been damage to the wildlife and plants.
Not much damage done in money was caused because it was on an island.
It is the tallest and most famous volcano in Japan.
