Biography
- Born in Warrenton, Warren County, N.C. on November 10, 1943.
- He attended the University of Georgia, Athens in 1966 and the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1968.
- He was elected as a Republican to the House of Representatives for the One Hundred Fourth and the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1995-January 3, 2003).
- He was elected as a Republican to the U.S. Senate in 2002; reelected in 2008 where his term ends January 3, 2015.

Saxby Chambliss voted to have the Keystone Pipeline passed and is trying this hardest to move it forward along with the rest of the senate after Obama declined it.

View On Raising Minimum Wage
Saxby Chambliss voted yes in raising the minimum wage to $7.25 instead of $6.25.

- Increases consumer spending
- Increases workers motivation
- Stimulates small businesses and the economy as a whole

- Employers will hire less people
- Businesses would turn to machines more than people
- Create a lot of layoffs
