Getting Smart
Chapter 4 - Motivation (By Lenny Lasher)
Chapter 4 Summary
Motivation is a crucial piece of the education process. Students need to work hard, therefore educators need to be more sophisticated in capturing the student's attention. Motivation is a game that requires educators to "get out of their comfort zone" and encourage people to bring back ideas and share & incorporate them with others in the game.
One key component to motivational learning is multiple long and short term aims that are clearly defined. In other words, students and staff must have short and long term goals that are realistic and attainable.
It's time for schools to get in the game!
