Act 2. Romeo and Juliet
Act 2. Scene 1- Where's Romeo?
Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio are leaving the party. Romeo ditches Mercutio and Benvolio to go see Juliet. Then Mercutio and Benvolio begin to look for Romeo. Mercutio teases Romeo for his love sick Rosaline. They both still haven't figured out that Romeo is actually in love with Juliet.
Act 2. Scene 2- The creeper who will be the Fiance
The scene starts with Romeo creeping on Juliet. He is comparing her to the sun and stars while she is confessing her love for him. After he hears the confession he actually reveals himself and they agree to get married. Juliet gets called in to her room by the nurse. Some of Juliet's last words were that she would send a messenger to Romeo to make the wedding plans.
Act 2. Scene 3- Talking with the minister
Romeo goes to see Friar Lawrence the morning after he meets up with Juliet and tells him what happened. Romeo then asks Friar Lawrence to marry him and Juliet that day in secret. He agrees to doing the marriage, hoping that it will end the feud between the two families. Friar Lawrence tells Romeo that he has just gotten over Rosaline and to be careful. Romeo comes back with that he had told him to bury his love and rushes off.
Act 2. Scene 4- Finding Romeo
Mercutio and Benvolio really start to worry about where Romeo had gone to. Then they find out that Tybalt has sent a letter to Romeos father's house saying that he wants to fight Romeo. That is when they think the worst and that he ha already been killed. As they keep talking about Tybalt, Benvolio spots Romeo, and they notice that he has had a "rough" night. They start to make a joke towards Romeo about what has happened to Romeo. Moments later, the nurse and a servant show up to talk to Romeo about the marriage, but it first gets interuppted by one of Mercutio's dirty jokes, and she gets offended. The nurse then gets Romeo alone and tells him about the marriage, and about the Prince, and they agree on everything.
Act 2. Scene 5- I just want the answer!
Juliet is waiting three hours for the nurse to get back from talking to Romeo, and once she finally arrives the Nurse tells Peter to leave. The nurse starts the conversation with a face that doesn't look to good so it worries Juliet. Juliet tries getting the answer out of the nurse, but she keeps avoiding on answering it. Then she asks if Juliet was going to go to confession today because if so that was where the marriage would be held. Juliet is very relieved that he has arranged to marrying her. She runs off to Friar Lawrence's cell.
Act 2. Scene 6- Wedding bells
Romeo is at the church with Friar Lawrence talking over the whole marriage and what consequences come with it. When Juliet comes rushing in Friar Lawrence begins the ceremony shortly after. Romeo notices her and says that she is making him very happy with the marriage. Juliet goes on and says that she is marrying her true love. After they are done sharing their thoughts Friar Lawrence goes on with the marriage ceremony.
