The different types of winds
There are two types of winds, global winds and local winds. Global winds go in the same direction. Local winds go in different directions every day. Convection currents on a large scale cause global winds ; convection currents on a small scale cause local winds.
Local Winds
Local winds have to different types of breezes. There is a sea breeze and land breeze. The sea breeze blows during the day and it blows cold air but as it gets closer to the land it gets warmer. The land breeze blows during the day and it blows cold air but as it closer to the sea the breeze get warmer. The winds change direction everyday..
Global Winds
Global wind always go in the direction. Convection currents on a large scale cause global winds. Global winds patterns: Winds are named by the direction from which they blow. The globe is encircled by six major wind belts, three in each hemisphere. From pole to equator, they are the polar easterlies, the westerlies, and the trade winds .
