Hello Birmingham Bears!
Next Wednesday, April 18th is Wylie ISD’s Day of Gratitude. Students will be learning what it means to be grateful and appreciative for what they already have and that being grateful can increase our happiness and well-being. They will learn that it is not just the big things in our lives that we need to be grateful for, but to notice all of those little things in our lives that make us happy!
We are asking all of our Bears to wear our school colors of Red and Blue on this day to show how grateful we are for being part of such a wonderful school!
LOST AND FOUND- Lost and Found is already full of items without names! We will be donating unclaimed items after THIS Friday, April 13th, so be sure to go take a look!

Bear love,

Hi Bears!
I wanted to provide information regarding a common condition within the school setting. It’s lice…there I said it! Flu has passed, and now it’s lice season. I want to encourage you to check your child’s hair daily for nits and lice bugs. This can be a quick step in the morning when your child is getting ready for school. Read the lice fact sheet attached in the link below. I am here as a resource, please reach out to me if you have any questions.
What is it and how did my child get it?

What to do if you find nits or lice, read the link below.

From the Library…
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. April

PTA News...
Teacher Appreciation week is upon us! The week of April 30- May 4 is the best week ever! If you would like to help put together goody bags, decorate or help with an event on a day, please contact Sheri Welch at Sheri.a.welch@gmail.com.
Our blue bin in the parking lot for clothing has brought in $76.44 this month! When cleaning out kids closet for the summer, please think of donating to our bin. The money goes right back to your kiddos.
Our next general PTA meeting is April 19. Our elections will be done at this meeting too.
