BOY Check-ins with Doerre Admin
In the coming weeks, your appraiser should be reaching out to schedule time with each of you to discuss your TTESS goals, schedule time for check ins, and schedule a formal eval (if needed). Be sure that you are administering the correct test version (K-2, 2-5, etc) using the “Notes” column on the KISD Assessment Calendar.
We are not administering MAP Language Growth, screeners, Skills Checklists, or Fluency assessments.
MAP Growth results are pulled every Friday afternoon and loaded into Eduphoria on Monday morning during the MAP window.
Eduphoria Strive
Beginning with the 2017-18 school year, all T-TESS Appraisal information will be housed in Eduphoria’s, new STRIVE application.
Please use the provided slides to guide you through the set-up process for using the new Eduphoria application. The final slide provides a link to a series of videos and articles that can assist you in your transition to the STRIVE app.
This side deck will be updated throughout the year, as new functions are released.
Poster Printing
Starting this Friday, Sept. 20th, Ms. Deere will begin taking your requests for poster making.
- Fridays will be the scheduled day for all poster copy requests.
- It will be helpful to know the paper size (1/2 or full sheet) of what the teacher needs the image to be printed on and the date of when they need it by.
- All poster requests must be curriculum based material, approved by admin team
- All poster requests should be emailed directly to Ms. Deere as a PDF attachment

National Junior Honor Society Info
NJHS serves to recognize outstanding students in the school and would like to share the following with students who are interested in becoming members of NJHS.
SELECTION PROCESS
1. A five-member faculty council is responsible for membership selection.
2. Candidate Academics - Candidates should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. Candidate Behavior - Candidates should uphold high standards of behavior inside and outside of school.
4. Candidates will be notified by letter, early in the second semester, if they meet academic and behavior eligibility requirements.
5. Interested candidates will complete a Candidate Information Form highlighting the candidate’s accomplishments in the areas of service and leadership.
6. Faculty will be invited to make comments and provide input on candidates.
7. Candidates will be reviewed by the selection committee.
8. All candidates, whether selected or not, will be notified by letter.
9. Selected candidates will verify acceptance.
10. Candidates will attend the induction ceremony in the spring.

Need Exchange Day Credit?
Exchange HOURS Extravaganza Friday, October 4th at 5:00 pm - Sunday, October 6th midnight
We are hosting an Exchange Extravaganza where teachers can earn exchange time while taking online PD at home the weekend of October 5th. Teachers must register in Eduphoria. Please share with any teachers that might still need to earn hours.
*Up to 6 hours of online credit can be applied to Exchange Day credit (equivalent to one day).
2019-2020 Exchange Days
All designated staff may complete a minimum of twelve (12) non-duty professional development hours to exchange for each of the following district staff development days:
Friday, October 11, 2019 & Monday, February 17, 2020
3 hours of EL hours are required for Exchange Day credit for core content teachers only. If you attend a required core content session, then it cannot count as EL credit. Core teachers are required to attend their specified core content refresh training. The hours will vary depending on core content requirements.
Up to 6 hours of online credit can be applied to Exchange Day credit (equivalent to one day).

Counselors' Corner
Minute Meetings:
Beginning last Monday, the Doerre Counselors started meeting with EVERY student at Doerre. They meet students for 1-2 minutes asking "get-to-know-you" questions to foster and build relationships with our students. The counselors and students loved chatting with each other for a few minutes.

A Note on Employee Absences
Staff members are expected to report their absences into AESOP as soon as an employee realizes an absence is necessary. Staff members with unexpected absences, please email Terrika Glenn and Kym Pinkerton as well as their department chair, attaching teacher lesson plans. Attendance tracking forms are then submitted upon your return to work. For pre planned personal or sick absences, teachers should submit the Attendance Tracking form by email to Mrs. Land, ccing Terrika Glenn. **Please note personal leave requests require a 2 week written notice**

Schoology Parent Portal
Parents of secondary students will receive an email from Schoology with their login information on Monday, September 16th. Please make sure you have your syllabus posted and your rolling agenda updated EACH WEEK. Parent have READ ONLY access, but please make sure your PLCs are as consistent as possible for our students and families. If you would like more information, please read this letter.
Results Focused: PRIDE
Click HERE for the PRIDE site on the Doerre Dashboard for all things Pride (calendars, resources, lesson plans, etc)
We will start claiming students for Pride the week of September 3rd. The list will be sent on Wednesday to first priority teachers. The list will then be sent to second priority teachers on Thursday and then on Friday to everyone else. Students will receive an email on Tuesday informing them where they will be during Pride for that week. Please make sure you are claiming your students by the end of the day you receive the list. Pride is an intervention or enrichment period. Please make sure we are prepared so that students are engaged.
