To help foster a drug free school, NBHS has been working with the Council for Drug Free Youth to bring in a former addict to talk about the harmful affects of drugs.
Mrs. Klukowski's "Contemporary Issues" class will be leading a can food drive the week of October 29th-November 1st. If your student(s) brings in at least one can per day, they will be able to participate in the following spirit week activities:
Monday: Money Monday: Dress Like You Are Rich
Tuesday: Southern Attire
Wednesday: Hat Day
Thursday: Battle of the Colors
We hope to get as many cans as possible. If you have any to donate, please send them in with your student or drop them off in the front office.
Mr. Gilmore will be taking a group of STEM students to the nuclear power plant to learn about how the plant uses a nuclear reactor to generate heat, that then is formed into electricity. We are so excited about this opportunity for our students.
We are looking for professionals in a variety of career fields to be a part of our "CAREER FAIR" on November 16, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. You will be presenting to small groups of students in 15 minute increments about your career field of expertise. Our students have created a list of career fields that they are interested in learning more about. If you or some one you know falls into one of these interest areas and you/they would be willing to be a part of our fair, we would greatly appreciate it.
