Boosterthon Fun
Our annual Boosterthon Fun Run is just around the corner! We are super excited about our Mind Spark Mystery Lab theme that supports our STEAM initiative.
Our Fun Run also comes with a world-class character theme. This year’s theme is MINDSPARK MYSTERY LAB, combining S.T.E.A.M skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) with character-building. While they're teaming up with the MindSpark Kids to solve mysteries, our students will learn five 21st-century character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world.
Through this year’s Fun Run, our school goal is to raise $15,000 for classroom libraries. Teachers, we need YOUR help!

Units of Study Reading and Writing Feedback
We have also been learning about the power of feedback and how it helps our students and us grow as learners. We have developed a feedback form specifically for this purpose. Please keep in mind that feedback is not intended to be evaluative or interpretive. Feedback is a way highlight specific evidence of reader's and writer's workshop by naming and noticing all of the components your implementing.
When a basketball coach provides feedback to his best point guard, he's providing timely, specific feedback to help his best point guard refine his shot, strategic view of the court, and stamina to help him/her get even better. That's exactly what we will be doing by providing feedback to you on the form below. Please take a moment to look over the form and let Kim, Lauren, or me know of any questions or concerns you may have.

You're welcome to utilize this form with your feedback partners today if your partner would rather you give them this feedback rather than feedback over Domain 2 or 3. Feel free to make a copy of the form or print it off if you're partner is interested in more specific feedback regarding their instructional practices for reader's or writer's workshop.
